PTA is a mid-sized, private practice group in Forsyth County that operates under the anesthesia care team model.

Comprising more than 34 board certified anesthesiologists, we provide patients with the absolute finest care, delivered with clinical expertise, compassion, respect, and understanding. Our caseload is diverse and complex, and we cover a variety of surgical specialties, including General, Colorectal, Bariatric, Hepatobiliary, Vascular, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastics/ENT, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Cardiothoracic, Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, and Office-Based Procedures. Members of our team also have the benefit of scheduling flexibility, case variety, and a team approach to anesthesia care. PTA is privileged to provide anesthesia care for all Novant Health medical facilities in Forsyth County, as well as some privately owned surgical centers. Our staff is highly engaged on every level with our healthcare partner, Novant Health, and we enjoy a great relationship with our surgical and nursing colleagues. We maintain active roles in hospital administration and leadership, and we are constantly striving to improve patient care. In the past several years, we have implemented successful enhanced recovery programs for a variety of surgical programs and are constantly evaluating our care pathways to find new ways to enhance the perioperative experience. In addition, we take great pride in being an autonomous, physician-led organization that retains independence in the governance of group affairs.
