Office Based Anesthesia :
What to Know and Expect
PTA’s anesthesiologists provide the safest, highest-quality anesthesia care available in an office setting. Our anesthesiologists provide care in settings that include dental offices and obstetrics and gynecology offices.
Many elective procedures can be performed in an office setting instead of a hospital, offering convenience and cost savings to patients. We partner with physicians to enhance patient satisfaction while meeting the same safety standards as in a hospital setting.
A PTA office-based anesthesiologist will:
- Provide intravenous sedation and noninvasive airway management throughout the procedure.
- Use the same medications, supplies, and monitoring and emergency equipment as would be used in a hospital operating room.
- Work with the patient to manage postoperative pain and to return as quickly and as comfortably as possible to their daily routines.
