As one of the Triad’s top anesthesia practices, Piedmont Triad Anesthesia offers an integrated platform of anesthesia services. Our team of more than 30 board-certified anesthesiologists works with patients in settings ranging from physician offices to large regional hospitals.
Our services include general, regional, neuro-, cardiac, obstetrics, acute-pain management and office-based anesthesia for children and adults.

Who we are
Piedmont Triad Anesthesia is an independent professional association. All of our physicians are board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and many hold certifications in specialty fields such as cardiothoracic anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, neuro-anesthesia and critical care medicine.
All members of our team regularly participate in advanced training and educational symposia and are recognized among their peers for using advanced technology and techniques.

Services
Piedmont Triad Anesthesiology is a leading provider of anesthesia services for children and adults in the Triad region. We are the exclusive provider of anesthesia care for Novant Health in our area.
ANESTHESIOLOGY
As physician specialists, our board-certified anesthesiologists will medically evaluate a patient before surgery, consult and plan the anesthesia with the surgical team. They will provide pain control and closely monitor vital signs during surgery and supervise the patient’s care after surgery.
CARDIAC ANESTHESIA
As a subspecialty, cardiothoracic anesthesia focuses on the care of patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery and related procedures. Because this field is both complex and constantly evolving, our cardiothoracic specialists are board certified and fellowship trained. In addition, they frequently participate in educational courses and training symposia in order to offer our patients the most advanced care available.
OBSTETRICS ANESTHESIA
The Women’s Center at Forsyth Medical Center is the premier location in Forsyth County for obstetric and GYN services. There are four dedicated GYN operating rooms and two designated for cesarean delivery. In the GYN operating rooms such procedures as laparoscopy, robotic surgery, abdominal or vaginal hysterectomy, pelvic floor surgery, hysteroscopy, ablations, dilation and curettage, elective postpartum tubal ligations and management for ectopic pregnancies are commonly performed. In addition, our well-trained staff is also immediately available to manage urgent or emergent surgical complications that may arise in the immediate postpartum period.
OFFICE-BASED ANESTHESIA
We are an independent professional association comprising 34 board-certified anesthesiologists. Depending on their area of expertise, many of our doctors hold additional certifications in specialty fields such as cardiothoracic anesthesia or postoperative pain management, and they regularly participate in advanced training and educational symposia. Our staff is able to stay at the forefront of rapidly evolving technology and techniques, as well as provide you, our patient, with the safest, most comfortable medical experience possible.
ORTHOPEDIC ANESTHESIA
Orthopedic surgery offers a wide variety of procedures with many options for anesthesia. For many surgeries, a protocol has been established, which provides safety and comfort for our patients while assisting the surgeon in obtaining a good result. Anesthesia for orthopedic surgery frequently combines intravenous sedation of general anesthesia with regional anesthesia.
PEDIATRIC ANESTHESIA
Our anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists have trained thoroughly in both anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology to provide expert care for children. We care for children of all ages, from infants to young adults, for routine surgical needs and many outpatient surgical procedures such as ENT and dental.
POSTOPERATIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT
We work closely with patients in both the outpatient and inpatient settings to assemble an individualized, comprehensive plan for optimal pain treatment that will allow them to return as quickly and as comfortably as possible to their personal life.
